Why choose our PRP system?

At LUMI Clinics, we use the state-of-the-art Arthrex Angel PRP system, which has consistently been shown to produce superior results compared to other systems.

Platelet Count Matters

The core principle of PRP treatments is the activation of platelets containing growth factors and cytokines that signal your body to heal, regenerate and rebuild tissue.

The higher the platelet concentration, the more regenerative signals are delivered to your target area — whether that’s hair follicles, dermal fibroblasts, or collagen-producing cells.

Not All PRP Is Created Equal

Most cosmetic-grade PRP centrifuges only process a small volume of blood - usually only 10-20 mL. That means there’s a limited supply of platelets to concentrate from the start, often resulting in a low total yield of growth factors.

More Blood = More Platelets

The Arthrex Angel® System is a medical-grade centrifuge used to boost healing during orthopedic surgery. It can process up to 180mL of blood in one spin, compared to 10-20mL with most standard centrifuges.

180mL of blood ~ 9-12mL of pure, highly-concentrated PRP

Compared to

10mL of blood ~ 1-2mL of poorly-contrated PRP that is often further diluted with more plasma

More Platelets = Better Results

Higher platelet counts amplify your body’s natural healing signals — and the Arthrex Angel PRP system lets us deliver that power precisely where it’s needed, whether it's for hair restoration or facial rejuvenation.

It’s true — the Arthrex Angel® System costs more than standard PRP devices.

But here’s the difference:
✨ More blood processed (up to 180 mL)
✨ Higher platelet concentration
✨ Purity and precision only possible with a closed, medical-grade system

Because when it comes to your skin and hair, we don’t cut corners — we concentrate results.

What to expect at your PRP appointment

1. Consultation: During your initial consultation, you’ll meet with our physician to review your medical history and treatment goals. We’ll discuss the risks and benefits of the procedure and collaborate to develop a personalized treatment plan. Pricing and financing options will also be discussed at this time.

2. Blood draw: A small sample of your blood (usually 60–180 mL) is collected — similar to a standard lab test.
Because the Arthrex Angel® System processes a larger volume than standard centrifuges, we’re able to harvest more platelets and produce a purer, higher-concentration PRP.

3. Processing in the Angel® System: Your blood is placed in the closed, sterile Arthrex Angel® centrifuge, which precisely separates and concentrates your platelets. This process takes about 20 minutes and yields your individualized PRP — rich in growth factors and ready for reinjection.

4. Anesthesia: During this time, we will also provide anesthesia to maximize comfort during the procedure.

For scalp PRP: targeted nerve blocks will be used to numb the treatment area. This provides more effective anesthesia than topical creams (and also are less messy!). Without residue from creams, PRP can penetrate follicles effectively and evenly.

For facial PRP: numbing creams will be applied to the face.

5. PRP Application: Microneedling is used to create microchannels across the treatment area to allow the PRP to penetrate more deeply. PRP can also be injected with a needle to even deeper layers at areas of concern. â€‹
